The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme and United Nations African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) organized a week long training of trainers (tot) workshop for planners across Government institutions. The training was meant to train planners on developing bankable project proposals for the National Development Plan.
The program was attended by Mr. Edrissa Sallah on behalf of the Office of the Ombudsman. Mr. Sallah stated that the training will go a long way in helping the Ombudsman develop bankable projects from the NDP. The role of the Ombudsman in overseeing administrative justice cannot be overemphasized; therefore, decentralization of our service to meet the need of the Gambian people regardless of geographical location is a key priority.
